Duties

• Greet customers warmly and provide knowledgeable assistance on a wide range of products including plants, gardening tools, lawn care equipment, and outdoor accessories
• Assist customers with plant identification, floral arrangements, and landscape maintenance advice to enhance their outdoor projects
• Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for transactions involving cash handling, credit card processing, and e-commerce orders
• Maintain organized merchandising displays and stock shelves efficiently to ensure attractive product presentation
• Support inventory management through stocking, inventory counts, and replenishment to meet customer demand
• Provide excellent customer service via phone communication for order inquiries or product information
• Promote sales through active engagement and suggestive selling techniques tailored to customer needs

Qualifications

• Prior experience in retail sales or outdoor work environments preferred but not required; enthusiasm for gardening, horticulture, or floral design is a plus
• Strong communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are advantageous for serving diverse customers
• Knowledge of lawn care, landscape maintenance, plant identification, and horticulture practices highly desirable
• Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling procedures, and retail math to ensure accurate transactions
• Excellent organizational skills for merchandising and stock management
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining safety standards
• Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly attitude and proactive approach to assisting shoppers
