Retail Sales Associate

Overview
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Retail Sales Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be the face of our store, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive shopping experience for all customers. You will assist with product demonstrations, manage inventory, and contribute to the overall success of our retail operations. Ideal candidates will have a passion for sales and a keen interest in the grocery industry.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers and assisting them with their needs.
• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for transactions.
• Handle cash and perform cash handling duties accurately.
• Maintain an organized and visually appealing store through effective merchandising and stocking practices.
• Conduct product demos to engage customers and promote new items.
• Upsell products to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales.
• Supervise junior staff members when necessary, ensuring adherence to company policies.
• Utilize basic math skills for accurate transactions and inventory management.
• Communicate effectively with customers, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.

Requirements

• Previous retail sales experience is preferred, particularly in a grocery store setting.
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor.
• Basic math skills for handling transactions and retail math calculations.
• Experience with cashiering and cash handling procedures.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being self-motivated.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour
