Position Overview

We're looking for a friendly, outgoing, dependable Retail Sales Associate to join our team! This is an active retail sales role. Success in this position comes from confidently engaging with customers, building relationships, making thoughtful product recommendations, and creating an exceptional shopping experience.

While we love pets, we're looking for someone who is passionate about retail sales and delivering outstanding customer service.

Schedule & Pay

• Weekday afternoon availability is required. Most weekday shifts are scheduled between approximately 2:00 PM–6:00 PM, and applicants should have availability on multiple weekdays during those hours.
• Workdays vary from week to week based on the needs of the business; this is not a fixed weekly schedule.
• Occasional morning or opening shifts may also be scheduled.
• Weekend availability is required, with weekend shifts rotating based on business needs.
• Approximately 15 hours per week, with opportunities for additional hours during holidays, special events, and peak seasons.
• Year-round position with summer, holiday, and peak-season availability required.
• Ability to assist with occasional schedule coverage when needed.
• Schedules are posted in advance, and employees are expected to maintain the availability they were hired with.
• Pay: $16.00–$18.00 per hour based on experience and qualifications.
• Opportunity for growth into expanded roles.

Applicants with weekend-only availability or availability on only one weekday afternoon will not be considered.

Applicants must be at least 18 years old due to the responsibilities of independently opening and closing the store and other job duties.

Responsibilities

• Create an exceptional customer experience from greeting through checkout
• Build relationships with customers and confidently recommend products
• Confidently engage every customer
• Make thoughtful product recommendations
• Help customers discover products they'll love
• Contribute to individual and store sales goals
• Operate the POS system and process transactions
• Merchandise and restock products
• Keep the boutique clean, organized, and inviting
• Assist with inventory and receiving
• Open and close the boutique independently as a keyholder

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10.0 – 15.0 per week
