Retail Sales Associate

Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Retail Sales Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, assisting with product demonstrations, and maintaining an organized and visually appealing store environment. This role is essential in driving sales and ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and provide assistance with their shopping needs.
• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently, handling transactions accurately.
• Engage in upselling techniques to enhance customer purchases.
• Conduct product demonstrations to showcase features and benefits to customers.
• Maintain merchandising standards by organizing displays and stocking shelves.
• Assist in inventory management, including stocking and restocking products as needed.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
• Utilize basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations.
• Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the sales floor and backroom areas.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and maintain a positive work environment.

Requirements

• Previous retail sales experience is preferred, especially in a grocery store setting.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with excellent phone etiquette.
• Ability to handle cash transactions accurately with attention to detail.
• Basic math skills for processing transactions and managing inventory.
• Experience in merchandising and stocking products effectively.
• Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership capabilities within a team.
