Retail Sales Associate

Job Summary
We are a christian based business and we are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Retail Sales Associate to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, assisting customers with their purchases, and ensuring a positive shopping experience. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a passion for retail sales, with the ability to engage customers effectively.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers and assisting them with their shopping needs.
• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for transactions, including cashiering and cash handling.
• Conduct product demonstrations to highlight features and benefits to customers.
• Maintain an organized and visually appealing sales floor through effective merchandising and stocking practices.
• Upsell products by understanding customer needs and recommending appropriate items.
• Supervise junior staff members as needed, ensuring adherence to store policies and procedures.
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly while maintaining phone etiquette.
• Utilize basic math skills for accurate cash handling and retail math calculations.

Experience

• Previous experience in retail sales is preferred, particularly in a grocery store environment.
• Familiarity with POS systems and basic cashiering functions is essential.
• Supervising experience is a plus, showcasing leadership capabilities within a retail setting.
