About the Role:
Do you enjoy talking with customers, selling products, and creating displays that make people want to shop? Join the team at Holiday Décor Store inside Salem Center Mall! We’re looking for an outgoing, dependable, and sales-focused Retail Sales Associate with at least two years of retail experience.

We carry holiday décor, gifts, toys, squishies, clothing, ornaments, and more. With Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas approaching, we need someone who enjoys a busy retail environment, confidently engages with customers, and takes initiative throughout their shift.

Key Responsibilities:
● Greet customers warmly and start friendly conversations
● Help shoppers find products and recommend gifts, décor, and other merchandise
● Suggest additional products that complement customer purchases
● Work toward daily sales goals through attentive and enthusiastic customer service
● Confidently turn customer interest into purchases
● Operate the Square register and process purchases accurately
● Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products, promotions, and store offerings
● Unpack merchandise, price products, and restock shelves
● Create and maintain attractive product displays
● Keep the store clean, organized, and welcoming
● Follow opening and closing procedures
● Work independently when needed and take initiative without constant direction
● Remain active and on your feet throughout the shift
● Complete stocking, merchandising, and display-related tasks, with reasonable accommodation as needed

Qualifications:
● At least 2 years of retail experience required, including direct customer sales
● Friendly, outgoing, and confident when approaching and assisting customers
● Strong sales skills and the ability to recommend products effectively
● Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
● Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
● Self-starter who notices what needs to be done and takes action
● Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
● Ability to thrive in a busy, fast-paced retail environment
● Availability during the busy holiday season
● Monday and Tuesday availability is especially valuable
