Job Summary

Join the team at JL Automotive Services as a Customer Service & Sales Associate, where your communication skills and customer-focused attitude will help deliver an excellent experience for our automotive customers. In this role, you will greet customers, assist with service inquiries, help coordinate appointments, and support the daily operations of our auto repair shop. You will work closely with technicians and other team members to ensure customers receive timely updates, accurate information, and professional service. Duties

• Greet customers professionally and assist with general inquiries about automotive repair and maintenance services.
• Answer phone calls, respond to customer emails, and help schedule service appointments.
• Assist with customer check-ins and check-outs, ensuring a smooth service experience.
• Provide customers with basic information about available repair services, maintenance options, and estimated service timelines.
• Assist with preparing service invoices, processing payments, and handling cash or debit/credit transactions accurately.
• Communicate with automotive technicians to coordinate customer requests and provide updates on vehicle service progress.
• Maintain accurate customer records, service appointments, and basic administrative documentation.
• Assist with coordinating parts orders and checking the availability of automotive parts and supplies.
• Keep the front desk, customer waiting area, and general workspace clean, organized, and welcoming.
• Support daily shop operations and collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and customer satisfaction.
• Handle customer questions and concerns professionally, helping resolve issues and maintain positive customer relationships.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills in English; additional languages are an asset.
• Previous experience in customer service, retail sales, or an automotive service environment is preferred but not required.
• Basic computer skills and the ability to use scheduling systems, email, and other office software.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail when managing appointments, payments, and customer information.
• Interest in automobiles, vehicle maintenance, and the automotive industry is an advantage.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers, mechanics, and other team members.
• A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and commitment to providing excellent customer service.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a busy automotive repair shop.

Pay: From $27.60 per hour
