Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-oriented Retail Sales Clerk to join our team. This is a family owned retail/wholesale business, selling tools-housewares-general merchandise for the past 45 years. The ideal candidate will be a dependable, friendly, and motivated individual who enjoys working with the public and is passionate about providing excellent service. You will also be asked to help in the warehouse when needed.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and provide outstanding customer service to meet their needs effectively.
• Maintain a high level of product knowledge to answer questions and make tailored recommendations.
• Perform sales transactions accurately and efficiently using a cash register and a credit card machine.
• Stock shelves, organize displays, and ensure merchandise is well-presented and replenished regularly.
• Maintain store cleanliness and organization through stocking, merchandising, and general tidying of the bins and sales floor.
• May need some assistance from time to time consisting of lifting, loading & unloading trucks, as well as assisting with warehouse inventory.

Qualifications

• Previous retail sales experience preferred.
• Familiarity with cashiering.
• Basic math for accurate transactions and computer skills.
• Strong customer service orientation with a friendly, approachable demeanor.

Preferred Skills

• Bilingual

Flexibility to work various shifts. Store hours: Mon-Sat 9AM to 6PM and Sun 9AM to 5PM.
