Retail Sales Consultant

About the role

Trapo runs the accessories, tint and car-care operation inside AG Autoworld's Proton e.MAS showroom in Plentong, a joint venture with the dealership. Sales agents give every new-car customer a free gift package. Your job starts there — upselling them onto higher-tier products: premium tint, coating, front-and-rear dashcams, upgraded mats and detailing. You are the only Trapo person on that floor.

Key responsibilities

• Be the product expert on the floor — an agent should never need to check and come back.
• Step into the upgrade conversation when an agent needs help closing.
• Keep agents current on package contents, upgrade pricing and what they earn on each.
• Move customers up from the free gift to the paid tier — tint, coating, dashcam, mats and detailing.
• Work the three buying windows: inside the loan at booking, excess downpayment before delivery, cash at collection.
• Keep the display wall merchandised. Customers do not ask for products they have never seen.
• Book fitting and detailing against each delivery date, protecting the one to three day preparation window.
• Confirm the right item per model — e.MAS 5, e.MAS 7 and e.MAS 7 PHEV take different mats.
• Watch stock, flag shortfalls early, follow up on rework and warranty.
• Every order, appointment and fulfilment detail goes into the system — accurately, on the day, including through the month-end peak.

About you

• SPM or above.
• Comfortable approaching customers without being pushy.
• Organised — half the job is selling, half is scheduling.
• Computer literate and able to work a system daily.
• Based in, or able to work daily in, Johor Bahru (Plentong / Masai).
• Willing to work retail hours, weekends and month-end peaks.
• Bahasa Malaysia and English, spoken and written.
• Presentable and dependable — you represent Trapo in someone else's showroom.
• Mandarin or another Chinese dialect — the upgrade conversation lands better in the customer's own language.
• Sales experience in automotive — dealership, accessories retail, tint or car-care shop, or workshop.
