Overview

We're looking to potentially bring on a responsible and effective part-time or full-time Store Manager to work with and oversee our small team, serving as the direct point of contact for the owner. Hours are negotiable and would likely start as part-time. The address is 8271 NE 2nd Ave. The store is open daily from 10:00am to midnight (closes at 2:00am on Friday and Saturday).

In this role, you'll be responsible ensuring that, at all times, store operations adhere to the strict standards set by the owner. This includes working in store alone (opening and closing), occasionally overlapping hours with employees to train/observe, and being the around-the-clock point of contact for both employees and the owner.

Our main focuses are salt nic disposables, pod/box mods & e-juice, hookah, hemp, and incense. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable in all or most. We're also making a making a big push to online orders.

Responsibilities (Sales Associate)

• Greet customers and provide detailed product information and recommendations

• Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using the Lightspeed Retail system

• Maintain consistent knowledge of our products, pricing, and promotions

• Keep the sales floor clean and displays organized and visually appealing

• Unpack merchandise and stock display shelves as needed

• Answer customer inquiries in person, over the phone, or via email

• Provide exceptional customer service by resolving issues or complaints in a professional manner

Responsibilities (Manager)

• All Sales Associate Responsibilities listed above

• Hold other staff accountable, ensuring adherence to owner's strict standards, and implementing discipline at own discretion

• Weekly scheduling (staffing)

• Around-the-clock availability (reasonably) to answer questions from employees or the owner (text, whatsapp, call). We have a group chat

• Inventory management and control. This includes ad-hoc inventory counts, inventory additions/adjustments in the POS software, and investigation of inventory discrepancies

• Inventory purchasing (in-person, online)

• Frequent security camera review

Qualifications

• 21 years old or older (tobacco sales). A high level of maturity is required

• Supervisory experience preferred, but not absolutely necessary for the right candidate

• Tech savviness is required. If you're not comfortable communicating digitally or figuring things out on your own, this will not work

• Must know smoke and vape products very well (if not, impress me some other way)

• Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to build relationships with customers

• Basic knowledge of sales techniques and strategies

• Proficient in phone etiquette and written communication skills in English

• Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling

• Organizational skills to maintain a tidy and well-stocked sales floor

• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members

I don't NEED a manager, but will hire the right one. A lot is negotiable, such as hours and pay structure. If you are enthusiastic about the hookah, vape, or cannabis culture and have impeccable attention to detail, we'd love to hear from you! Unserious people don't bother.

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
