Duties

• Operate the cash register accurately, handling all cash, credit, and electronic transactions with attention to detail.
• Provide friendly and professional customer service by greeting shoppers, answering questions, and assisting with product selections.
• Conduct product demos to showcase features and benefits, encouraging additional sales through upselling techniques.
• Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, ensuring merchandise is well-stocked and displays are attractive.
• Manage the cash drawer responsibly, balancing registers at shift end and handling cash handling procedures securely.
• Assist in stocking shelves, merchandising products effectively to maximize sales opportunities.
• Use POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently while demonstrating strong phone etiquette when answering store calls or inquiries.

Requirements

• Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
• Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customers.
• Familiarity with POS systems, cash register operations, and retail math for accurate transactions.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations quickly and accurately during sales and cash handling.
• Demonstrated customer service skills with a positive attitude and professional phone etiquette.
• Supervising experience or leadership skills are advantageous for assisting team members or managing tasks during busy periods.
• Knowledge of retail store products, merchandising techniques, and the ability to conduct product demos will enhance your effectiveness in this role.
