HIGHLY is looking for a Budtender to join our newest location in Portland, Maine. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys retail, talking with customers and learning about cannabis.

In this role, you’ll guide customers through our product selection, answer questions, and provide thoughtful recommendations, and help create a welcoming dispensary experience. Cannabis experience is not required – we provide hands-on training. We’re looking for someone who is dependable, curious, personable, and eager to grow within the cannabis industry.

Evening, weekend, and holiday availability are required.

What You’ll Do

• Welcome customers and provide professional, friendly service
• Assist customers through the purchasing process
• Stay current on products, industry trends, and Maine cannabis regulations
• Verify customer age and follow all state and company compliance requirements
• Operate the POS system, process payments, and handle cash accurately
• Keep the sales floor clean, organized, stocked, and inviting
• Assist with inventory, labeling, merchandising, and product organization
• Follow safe and compliant product-handling procedures
• Work collaboratively with the team and assist with daily dispensary operations

• Interested in building a career in cannabis retail and dispensary operations

Previous experience in retail, sales, customer service, cannabis, or dispensary operations is a plus, but not required. We provide training for the right candidate.

Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age or older, as required by Maine law
• Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Must be willing to work during inclement weather when required
• Must be able to stand and move throughout 8–10+ hour shifts
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Must be willing and able to obtain an Individual Identification Card (IIC) through the Maine Office of Cannabis Policy - HIGHLY reimburses the IIC fee after successful completion of 60 days of employment
