Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and provide outstanding customer service to enhance their shopping experience
• Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently for transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing
• Assist customers with product inquiries, upselling opportunities, and product demonstrations to boost sales
• Maintain store merchandising standards by organizing displays, stocking shelves, and ensuring products are attractively presented
• Manage inventory by stocking shelves, conducting stock counts, and alerting management of low inventory levels
• Uphold phone etiquette when answering customer calls or inquiries, providing clear and helpful information
• Support the store’s merchandising plans by implementing promotional displays and seasonal setups

Requirements

• Prior experience in retail sales or cashiering is preferred; familiarity with POS systems is a plus
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively in bilingual environments if applicable
• Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership qualities are advantageous for team collaboration
• Ability to perform basic math for cash handling, retail math calculations, and inventory management
• Experience in grocery stores or similar retail environments is beneficial but not required
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable attitude
• Knowledge of merchandising techniques and product demos is desirable
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate loads as needed
