Retail Store Associate

Retail Sales Associate — $16/hr to Start | Lake Nona

Do you love helping people, working with your hands, and being part of a fun, fast-paced retail environment? We're opening a brand-new Pinch A Penny store in Lake Nona, and we're looking for friendly, dependable people to join our founding retail team.

No pool experience? No problem — we'll train you on everything from water testing to product knowledge. We're looking for someone who is reliable, personable, detail-oriented, and excited to learn a business that helps families enjoy their backyards.

Starting Pay: $16/hour

Pay increases are based on performance, reliability, and how quickly you pick up product knowledge and water chemistry. As our store grows, so will the opportunities for you to grow with it.

What You'll Do

• Greet customers and provide friendly, knowledgeable service on the sales floor.
• Learn to test and balance pool and spa water chemistry, and recommend the right products.
• Answer customer questions about chemicals, equipment, and pool care basics.
• Ring up sales accurately using our point-of-sale system.
• Fill chlorine jugs for customers and the store.
• Keep the sales floor clean, organized, and well-stocked.
• Receive and unpack shipments, and help with inventory counts.
• Disassemble and assess automatic pool cleaners to identify issues for customers.
• Assist with opening and closing procedures.
• Load heavier items (like chemical jugs and salt bags) into customer vehicles.

Who We're Looking For

• Shows up on time and consistently.
• Friendly, upbeat, and genuinely enjoys helping people.
• Comfortable learning new products and basic chemistry concepts.
• Organized with attention to detail.
• Comfortable using a POS system and basic math (making change, calculating totals).
• Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs (chemical jugs, salt bags, etc.).
• Willing to work some weekends — our busiest days.
• Takes pride in doing things right, even when no one's watching.

Experience? Not Required.

This is an entry-level position, and we're willing to train the right person from the ground up. Retail, customer service, or food service experience is a plus, but a great attitude matters more than a resume.
