Duties

• Greet customers warmly and provide outstanding customer service to enhance their shopping experience
• Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently for retail sales transactions and cash register operations
• Assist customers with product inquiries, including conducting product demos to highlight features and benefits
• Upsell relevant products to meet customer needs and increase store sales performance
• Stock shelves, organize displays, and ensure merchandise is well-presented according to merchandising standards
• Handle cash drawer management, cash handling, and perform accurate retail math for transactions
• Maintain phone etiquette when communicating with customers or vendors over the phone
• Support inventory management by stocking products and conducting stock checks regularly
• Assist with merchandising efforts to keep the store inviting and aligned with promotional campaigns
• Provide bilingual support when needed to serve a diverse customer base effectively

Qualifications

• Previous retail sales experience or grocery store experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with customers and team members
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions, retail math calculations, and balancing cash drawers
• Experience with POS systems, cashiering, and retail sales transactions is highly desirable
• Demonstrated ability to supervise or lead team members in a retail environment is a plus
• Knowledge of retail store product lines or merchandising practices enhances your fit for this role
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as stocking shelves and standing for extended periods
• Bilingual skills are an advantage for serving a diverse community effectively

Pay: $18.00 per hour
