Duties

• Greet customers warmly and provide outstanding customer service to enhance their shopping experience
• Operate the cash register (POS system) accurately for retail sales transactions and cash handling
• Assist customers with product demos and answer questions about store merchandise to promote upselling opportunities
• Stock shelves, organize displays, and ensure merchandise is well-presented and replenished regularly
• Conduct product knowledge demonstrations to educate customers about features and benefits
• Maintain proper cash drawer handling procedures and perform retail math calculations for transactions
• Apply phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely, ensuring clear communication
• Support merchandising efforts by arranging products attractively and following store layout guidelines

Qualifications

• Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering is preferred; supervisory experience is a plus
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively in bilingual settings if applicable
• Familiarity with POS systems, retail math, and cash register operations
• Ability to handle cash handling responsibilities accurately and responsibly
• Knowledge of retail store product knowledge, merchandising principles, and stock management procedures
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude
• Basic math skills for transactions, balancing cash drawers, and calculating sales totals
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and work flexible hours as needed
