Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and provide outstanding customer service by addressing inquiries and offering product recommendations.
• Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently to process retail sales transactions accurately, including cash register operations and cash handling.
• Assist customers with product demos, explaining features and benefits to enhance their shopping experience.
• Maintain store merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring products are well-presented.
• Upsell additional products or services to maximize sales opportunities while respecting customer needs.
• Handle retail math tasks such as calculating discounts, totals, and change with accuracy.
• Manage stock levels by receiving shipments, stocking shelves, and conducting inventory counts to ensure product availability.
• Demonstrate strong phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely.
• Support supervising staff by helping oversee daily store operations and ensuring team members adhere to store policies.
• Apply basic retail store product knowledge to assist customers effectively and promote featured items or promotions.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are essential.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse customers.
• Bilingual abilities are a plus for serving a broader customer base effectively.
• Familiarity with POS systems, cash register operations, and cash drawer handling is advantageous.
• Experience in merchandising, stocking, cashiering, or retail math enhances your ability to succeed in this role.
• Demonstrated phone etiquette and excellent customer service skills are vital for creating a welcoming atmosphere.
• Supervising experience is beneficial for those interested in future leadership opportunities.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and perform physical tasks related to stocking and merchandising.

Pay: $16.00 - $22.00 per hour
