Retail Store Development Executive (Management)

Role Overview

A Retail Store Development Executive plans, coordinates, and in charge of multibrand store, key account and telco store deployment. The Retail Store Development Executive plays a pivotal role in driving retail outlet specific on display zone and display counter. Serving as a key driver of retail growth, the ideal candidate possesses strong commercial acumen, excels at cross-functional coordination, and can translate data-driven insights into actionable strategies that deliver sustainable outlet expansion.

Core Responsibilities

• Project Management & Project Tracking: Oversee outlet construction and renovation progress with structured tracking and reporting mechanisms. Work closely with retail teams to manage project risks, resolve delays, and ensure timely, high-quality delivery of new outlet builds.
• Vendor & Contractor Coordination: Negotiate contracts and manage architects, general contractors, and external suppliers. Budget & Schedule Control: Track project costs, manage change orders, and ensure strict adherence to timelines and budgets.
• Compliance & Quality Assurance: Review construction documents to ensure compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and brand standards.Site Inspections: Travel to active job sites to monitor construction progress and quality.
• Retail Asset Planning & Control: Organize inventory planning, plan and allocate display props for new outlet openings, and maintain comprehensive asset records to ensure effective cost control and operational accountability.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with sales team, retail team, finance, logistics, and external suppliers to ensure project run on time and ensure alignment on retail execution priorities.

Job Requirements

• Education: Diploma & Bachelor’s degree in Architect, Interior Design, Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline.
• Experience: Minimum 1 years of proven experience in retail management, store construction, or commercial project management (experience in consumer electronics, telecommunications, or major retail chains is highly preferred).
• Technical & Operational Skills: Understanding of retail construction workflows, site planning, outlet evaluations, and full project lifecycle management.
• Communication & Stakeholder Management: Exceptional interpersonal and coordination skills, with a track record of successfully managing cross-functional teams, external vendors, and leadership expectations.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business; may require evening work and domestic business trips.
