Retail Store Manager

Store Manager — Kush Cart (Portland, OR) $52,000–$60,000 | Full-time | Tuesday–Saturday

Kush Cart is a cannabis delivery service in Portland. We're hiring a Store Manager to own day-to-day operations: The person who keeps the floor running, develops the team, and solves problems before they reach ownership.

This is not a desk job and it's not 24/7 firefighting. It's a 40-hour role built around floor time, one-on-ones, and a protected admin block.

What you'll own

• People: hiring, onboarding, coaching, performance reviews, accountability conversations, write-ups and terminations
• Operations: Staff check-ins, SOP monitoring, trouble-shooting issues, last line of defense for Leads, opening and cash handling
• Scheduling & payroll: building schedules against labor targets and seasonal demand, payroll prep, managing coverage gaps
• Compliance & safety: OLCC readiness, internal audits, camera checks, incident reporting
• Fleet: preventive maintenance and repairs up to $1,500, DMV incident filings, insurance claims
• Inventory & tools: accuracy and COGS oversight, troubleshooting Blaze, Onfleet, and payment terminal issues

You'll report directly to our CEO, with Inventory Manager, Intake Coordinator, Leads, Drivers, and OPICs reporting to you.

Schedule

Wednesday through Saturday on the floor, with a dedicated in-house admin day on Tuesday.

What we're looking for

• Calm under pressure with strong judgment and follow-through
• Comfortable holding people accountable, including peers
• Detail-oriented without micromanaging
• Experience in a regulated or fast-paced operational environment preferred
• Must be 21+ and hold (or be able to obtain) a valid OLCC Marijuana Worker Permit
• Must be located in Portland, Oregon
• Metrc Qualifications: Experience with Metrc, Blaze, and or comparable seed-to-sale and POS systems preferred

Compensation & growth

$52,000–$60,000 base depending on experience, with a 90-day review and comp adjustment opportunity for those exceeding expectations. Responsibilities and titles can grow as the business does. Medical & Dental Benefit options available.
