Retail Store Manager

About the role

The Retail Store Manager at The Editor's Market Malaysia is responsible for the end-to-end management of the retail and brand's lifestyle (cafe/events) environment to ensure it meets international quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Accountable for achieving sales and margin budget and financial objectives set for the store.
• Ensure the team provides the best standards of customer service across the store in accordance with the Company's service values.
• Lead, motivate and mentor team in achieving top performance, the standard of service, and maximize productivity and efficiency.
• Monitor sales performance versus supply of stock to the sales floor.
• Manage daily opening/closing procedures, POS systems, and cash handling.
• Supervise retail staff and manage staff scheduling.
• Provide product knowledge training and foster a high-performance culture.
• Manage customer feedback and resolve issues to maintain the brand's premium reputation.
• Support the implementation of local marketing campaigns, events and product launches.

About you

• Minimum 3-5 years of retail store management experience.
• Proven ability to drive store performance by planning and executing operational strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and organizational skills to build and manage high-performing teams.
• Experience with retail store operations and store management systems.
• Proficiency in POS systems and cloud-based inventory management software.
• Good command of Mandarin, Bahasa and English to effectively communicate with our diverse client base and stakeholders.
