Retail Supervisor

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic supervisor with 2 + years experience for our busy, award winning, Spar Shop and Service Station in South Kildare.

Core Responsibilities

• Forecourt Operations & Safety: Monitor fuel delivery schedules, track fuel wetstock levels to identify variances, and enforce strict health, safety, and environmental regulations regarding fuel handling and emergency shut-offs.
• Fresh Food & Grocery Management: Oversee stock rotation (FIFO), manage waste tracking shop floor, and ensure strict adherence to food safety and HACCP regulations.
• Team Leadership: Supervise, schedule, and train checkout operators and forecourt attendants, ensuring excellent customer service during peak morning and evening rushes.
• Inventory & Merchandising: Coordinate ordering and replenishment for high-turnover fresh food, dry goods and grocery lines while maximising special offers and impulse-buy displays.
• Cash Handling & Compliance: Manage till opening and closing procedures, till reconciliation and safe drops while strictly enforcing compliance for age-restricted sales (such as alcohol, tobacco, vapes and lottery).

Key Skills & Qualifications

• Experience: 2+ years of retail supervisory experience, ideally within a convenience store, supermarket, or service station environment.

• Certifications: Knowledge or certification in HACCP/Food Safety guidelines is highly preferred. Forecourt safety or dangerous goods awareness is a major asset.

• Data and Safety: prior exoe

• Situation Management: Ability to stay calm and follow strict safety protocols during high-stress situations, such as fuel spills, drive-offs, or equipment malfunctions.

• Operational Stamina: Capability to manage a dual-environment business that often operates 7 days per week and on extended early morning, evening, and weekend shifts.

• Competitive rate of pay for successful candidate.

Pay: €16.00-€17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
