Simpsons Garden Centre - Retail Supervisor
Location: Inverness
Salary: £30,000.00 per annum depending on experience.
Contract Type: Full-Time Permanent. Rotational weekend shifts.
Hours: 42.5 hours weekly

We’re looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Garden Centre Retail Supervisor to support our retail managers in day to day running of Garden Centre. This is a practical, varied role for someone who enjoys being involved, leading by example and making sure the team and the garden centre are running smoothly, with excellent customer service,. A role ideal for someone passionate about retail and committed to creating a high-quality shopping experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Team Supervision: Support the Retail Managers in the day-to-day supervision of the retail team, allocating tasks, monitoring progress and ensuring daily duties are completed effectively. Lead by example and provide guidance and support to colleagues.
• Customer Service: Deliver excellent customer service and encourage the team to provide a friendly, helpful and welcoming experience for every customer.
• Product Knowledge: Develop your own product knowledge and help ensure team members can confidently assist customers with product information and recommendations.
• Stock Management: Assist with receiving deliveries, unpacking and replenishing stock, maintaining accurate stock presentation and ensuring storage areas are kept tidy and organised.
• Store Standards: Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organisation and presentation throughout the garden centre, including retail areas, stockrooms and staff facilities.
• Shift Responsibility: Participate in the duty rota and take responsibility for the smooth running of the garden centre during designated shifts, dealing with day-to-day issues and escalating more serious matters to the Retail Manager.
• Initiative and Teamwork: Use your own initiative, take ownership of delegated responsibilities and identify tasks that need attention without always being prompted. Work closely with the Retail Manager and colleagues to ensure the garden centre operates efficiently.
