Retail Supervisor - Full-Time

We are currently hiring a Full-Time Retail Supervisor to join our fantastic teams across SPAR Limerick, including Castletroy, Henry Street and Hurlers Cross.

The successful candidate will support the day-to-day running of the store, supervise and motivate the team, ensure excellent customer service, maintain high store standards, and help ensure that all food safety, hygiene and health and safety requirements are met.

Job Details

• Role: Retail Supervisor (Full-Time)
• Locations: Limerick City Centre, Castletroy and Hurlers Cross
• Pay: From €15.50 per hour, depending on experience
• Hours: Full-time shifts across 24-hour operations, including night shifts and early starts from 6:00am

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise the day-to-day running of the store and support management with daily operational duties.
• Lead, support and motivate team members to deliver excellent customer service.
• Ensure the store is clean, well presented and fully stocked at all times.
• Monitor standards across the shop floor, including merchandising, stock rotation, pricing, promotions and waste management.
• Ensure correct standard and promotional pricing is in place and updated as required.
• Ensure full compliance with HACCP, food hygiene, health and safety, traceability and company procedures.
• Support the deli and food-service areas as required, ensuring food is prepared and displayed to the required standard.
• Deal with customer queries and feedback in a professional and effective manner.
• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent food quality and service standards.
• Assist with stock control, deliveries, stocktaking and cash-handling procedures.
• Help train, guide and support new and existing team members.
• Report any store, staffing, food safety or customer-service issues to management promptly.

Requirements

• At least two years’ retail experience.
• At least one year’s experience supervising or managing people.
• Previous food-service experience is essential.
• Good working knowledge of HACCP, food hygiene and health and safety requirements.
• Strong leadership, communication and people-management skills.
• A positive, hands-on approach, with the ability to work well as part of a busy team.
• Strong customer-service skills and a commitment to maintaining high standards.
• Good English language skills.
• Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends and night shifts.
