Retail Systems QA

Description

Test end-to-end retail business processes within POS systems, including sales, returns, exchanges, discounts, payments, inventory updates, and end-of-day store operations.

Troubleshoot defects and identify root causes across interconnected retail systems, ensuring transactions flow properly between store, inventory, finance, fulfillment, and reporting platforms.

Configure, support, and validate retail hardware including POS terminals, barcode scanners, receipt printers, payment devices, and mobile technology.

Partner with product, business, and technology teams to ensure retail applications meet the needs of store associates, operations teams, and customers, while leveraging AI tools to improve testing efficiency.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Retail store experience is required (3+ years preferred), ideally supporting store operations, technology, or omni-channel processes.

Experience with retail back-office functions such as inventory management, fulfillment, receiving, transfers, merchandising, reconciliation, or reporting.

Ability to think like an end user, identify edge cases, document issues clearly, and communicate effectively with both technical and business teams.

Comfortable working with retail technology, including POS systems, mobile devices, and connected hardware peripherals.

Basic scripting experience (PowerShell, Python, Shell, or VBScript) is a plus.

Interest in AI tools and emerging retail technologies with a willingness to learn modern testing and automation practices.

Experience with POS, inventory, payment, ERP-connected systems, or Aptos platforms is highly desirable.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $51.50/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
