Retail Training

The Trainer will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive training programs to enhance the skills, knowledge, and capabilities of employees within the Operations & Project Management department. This role involves assessing training needs, designing training curricula, delivering training sessions, and evaluating training effectiveness to support departmental objectives and drive employee performance and engagement.

Responsibilities:

• Training Needs Analysis: Conduct training needs assessments to identify skill gaps, training requirements, and development opportunities within the Operations & Project Management department.
• Training Program Development: Design, develop, and implement training programs, courses, and workshops tailored to the specific needs and objectives of departmental staff. Develop training materials, presentations, and resources to support learning objectives.
• Training Delivery: Facilitate training sessions, workshops, and seminars for departmental staff, utilizing a variety of instructional techniques and methodologies to engage participants and reinforce learning outcomes.
• Employee Onboarding: Develop and deliver onboarding programs for new hires within the Operations & Project Management department, providing them with the necessary knowledge, skills, and resources to succeed in their roles.
• Leadership Development: Develop and deliver leadership development programs for managers and supervisors within the department, focusing on leadership skills, team management, and performance coaching.
• Training Evaluation: Evaluate training effectiveness and impact through participant feedback, assessments, and performance metrics. Continuously monitor and review training programs to ensure alignment with departmental objectives and employee development needs.
• Training Coordination: Coordinate training logistics, including scheduling, venue arrangements, and participant registrations. Ensure that training sessions are conducted smoothly and efficiently, with minimal disruptions.
• Learning Management System (LMS): Manage the implementation and administration of a learning management system (LMS) to facilitate training delivery, tracking, and reporting. Monitor LMS usage, track training progress, and generate reports on training outcomes and performance.
• Professional Development: Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to training and development. Participate in professional development activities, conferences, and networking events to enhance knowledge and skills in training methodologies and practices.
• Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of training professionals, including trainers, instructional designers, and training coordinators. Provide coaching, mentorship, and performance feedback to support the growth and development of team members.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Education, or any related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Training with a demonstrable track record of designing and implementing training programs
• Knowledge of instructional design principles and adult learning theory.
• Project management skills for managing training initiatives and timelines.
• Ability to assess training needs and develop training plans in the company.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities to inspire and motivate others.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with a focus on achieving organisational goals through effective training and development initiatives.
• Proficiency in learning management systems (LMS) and other training technology platforms.
