What they need

San Souci West is a 214-site retirement mobile home community in Spokane, Washington. Residents own their individual homes and lease their homesites from the community.

We are seeking an experienced, organized, and dependable Retirement Mobile Community Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of the property.

This is a hands-on management position for someone who takes ownership of their responsibilities, communicates well, and follows issues through to completion. The ideal candidate will be equally comfortable assisting residents in the office, reviewing accounts and records, walking the property, coordinating contractors, and addressing community concerns.

Key Responsibilities

· Oversee daily operations of the 214-site community.

· Serve as the primary on-site contact for residents and prospective residents.

· Manage resident relations, concerns, communications, and community rule enforcement.

· Coordinate applications, screenings, leases, move-ins, and resident records.

· Assist with resident-owned home sales and transfers, including coordination with buyers, sellers, title/escrow companies, and prospective residents.

· Manage rent collection, resident accounts, deposits, delinquencies, and related financial records.

· Coordinate maintenance requests, contractors, vendors, repairs, and property projects.

· Regularly inspect the community and monitor common areas, infrastructure, property condition, and homesite compliance.

· Prepare notices, correspondence, reports, and documentation.

· Maintain organized and confidential resident, financial, vendor, and property records.

· Assist with compliance with Washington manufactured/mobile home requirements, Fair Housing requirements, community rules, and established policies.

· Respond appropriately to property emergencies and significant incidents and communicate concerns promptly to management.

What We’re Looking For

· 3+ years of property management, community management, housing management, office management, or comparable experience preferred.

· Manufactured/mobile home community, multifamily, HOA, or senior community experience is strongly preferred.

· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

· Experience with rent collection, accounts receivable, deposits, invoices, and basic financial processes.

· Strong written and verbal communication skills.

· Comfortable working with a retirement-age resident population.

· Professional and composed when handling complaints, conflict, or sensitive situations.

· Ability to work independently, identify problems, and follow through without constant direction.

· Proficient with Microsoft Office.

· Experience with Yardi, QuickBooks, or similar property management/accounting software preferred.

· Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.

Schedule

This is a full-time, on-site position, primarily Monday through Friday. Occasional evening or weekend availability may be necessary for emergencies, meetings, or time-sensitive property matters.

The Right Fit

We are looking for someone proactive, accountable, organized, and dependable. This position requires a manager who can build professional relationships with residents while maintaining appropriate boundaries and consistently applying community policies.

The successful candidate will understand that residents own their individual homes while the community owns and manages the land, common areas, and community infrastructure, and will be able to distinguish between homeowner and community responsibilities appropriately.

  • Health insurance
