Retread Manager (Experienced)

Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and EXPERIENCED strategic Retread Manager to lead our retread manufacturing operations, ensuring the production of high-quality tire retreads while optimizing efficiency and safety. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee all aspects of the retread process, from raw material management to final product inspection, fostering continuous improvement and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will be passionate about manufacturing management, possess strong leadership skills, and excel in implementing lean principles and process improvements to drive productivity and quality.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the entire retread production process, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and efficiency standards.
• Develop and implement production schedules utilizing systems such as to meet customer demands and optimize resource utilization.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to manufacturing operations, applying data analysis techniques using Excel and supply chain analytics tools to identify areas for improvement.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using manufacturing methodologies to streamline processes, reduce waste, and enhance product quality.
• Oversee supply chain management for raw materials, ensuring timely procurement and inventory control aligned with production planning.
• Manage cross-functional communication between maintenance, quality control, supply chain, and assembly to ensure seamless operations.
• Lead team development efforts by providing coaching, training, and performance feedback to foster a motivated and skilled workforce.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in production management within manufacturing environments, preferably in tire or rubber products.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing management systems such as SAP, ERP platforms, MRP (Material Requirements Planning), and production scheduling tools.
• Demonstrated expertise in process improvement methodologies highly desirable.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel data analysis for reporting trends, identifying inefficiencies, and supporting decision-making processes.
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively across multiple functions while promoting a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
• Familiarity with quality control standards and practices within manufacturing settings.
• Ability to analyze supply chain data and optimize operations through effective supply chain management strategies.
