We provide high-quality, reliable and cost-effective services to housing providers, local authorities, contractors and delivery partners.

Our business is built on three core principles: Quality, Value and Trust. We're committed to delivering a professional service, maintaining high technical standards and developing strong, lasting relationships with our clients.

As our business continues to grow, we're looking for a motivated and experienced Retrofit Coordinator to join our team.

The Role

We're looking for a qualified Retrofit Coordinator to manage and oversee the delivery of domestic retrofit projects in accordance with PAS 2035 and relevant industry standards.

You'll be responsible for coordinating the retrofit process, reviewing technical documentation, managing project risks and ensuring retrofit measures are appropriately assessed, designed and delivered in line with project requirements.

The role will involve working closely with Retrofit Assessors, Retrofit Designers, contractors and our wider technical team to maintain high standards of quality and compliance throughout the retrofit process.

You'll also provide technical guidance to Retrofit Technical Officers, supporting the review and preparation of project documentation while ensuring all work meets our internal quality standards.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing independent consultancy and play a key role in delivering high-quality domestic retrofit projects across the UK.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake Retrofit Coordination duties in accordance with PAS 2035 and relevant industry requirements.
  • Review Retrofit Assessment documentation, including property condition reports, ventilation assessments, occupancy assessments and energy performance information.
  • Review energy performance modelling and proposed improvement measures to ensure they are appropriate for the property and intended project outcomes.
  • Review Retrofit Design documentation to ensure proposed measures are technically appropriate, coordinated and compliant with relevant standards.
  • Undertake and maintain project risk assessments, identifying potential technical and compliance risks throughout the retrofit process.
  • Develop and review Improvement Option Evaluations and Medium-Term Improvement Plans.
  • Ensure proposed retrofit measures follow a whole-house approach and consider interactions between building fabric, ventilation, heating and other building systems.
  • Coordinate the retrofit process between assessors, designers, installers, contractors and other project stakeholders.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to Retrofit Technical Officers, ensuring documentation is reviewed and prepared to the required standards.
  • Review project documentation and evidence to confirm compliance with PAS 2035, PAS 2030 and relevant Building Regulations.
  • Identify technical issues, design conflicts and non-compliances, working with relevant stakeholders to agree appropriate resolutions.
  • Monitor project progress and ensure coordination activities are completed within agreed deadlines.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive project records, including risk assessments, technical reviews, decisions and supporting evidence.
  • Undertake appropriate monitoring and evaluation activities in accordance with PAS 2035 requirements.
  • Review installation and handover documentation to support the completion and close-out of retrofit projects.
  • Support the preparation and submission of project documentation to clients and relevant compliance platforms, including TrustMark where required.
  • Maintain effective communication with clients, contractors, assessors and designers throughout project delivery.
  • Contribute to internal quality assurance processes, technical improvements and the development of company procedures.
  • Keep up to date with changes to PAS 2035, Building Regulations and relevant retrofit industry guidance.
  • Comply with relevant health and safety requirements and company procedures.

Essential Requirements

  • Level 5 Diploma in Retrofit Coordination and Risk Management.
  • Current or ability to achieve TrustMark-recognised Retrofit Coordinator accreditation through an appropriate scheme provider.

  • Ability to identify and manage technical risks associated with domestic retrofit works.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of technical compliance.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and competing deadlines.
  • Good IT skills and experience using relevant retrofit coordination software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, make informed technical decisions and collaborate effectively with project stakeholders.

Desirable Experience

  • Level 3 qualification in Domestic Energy Assessment or Domestic Retrofit Assessment.
  • Experience working on large-scale domestic retrofit programmes.
  • Knowledge of ECO, Warm Homes and other government-funded retrofit schemes.
  • Experience working with social housing providers, local authorities or principal contractors.
  • Experience using Elmhurst or other recognised Retrofit Coordination and energy modelling software.
  • Understanding of Building Regulations, particularly Approved Documents F, L and C.
  • Experience reviewing technical designs for insulation, heating, renewable technologies and ventilation systems.
  • Knowledge of traditional and non-traditional construction methods.
