Returns Associate

We are looking for a full-time (Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm) Returns Associate — a warehouse team member who will steward and organize our daily returns process while supporting the daily operations of our fulfillment team.

This role carries ownership of the returns area and experience within the warehouse. The Returns Associate ensures returned product is handled with care, accuracy, and integrity — protecting inventory accuracy while maintaining alignment between our Warehouse and Customer Experience teams.

When not actively processing returns, this team member will support broader warehouse operations including shipping, receiving, and more specialized tasks such as pulling hems store runs (driving daily to and from our 12s store) and yardsale processing.

This role reports to the Warehouse Operations Manager and the Fulfillment Manager, with process partnership and alignment guided by the Customer Experience Manager.

Responsibilities of this role include:

• Owning the physical full returns process from receipt through resolution
• Inspecting returned product to uphold imogene + willie quality standards
• Accurately processing returns in alignment with CX team guidelines
• Maintaining a clean, structured, and highly organized returns area (go backs, wash bin, needs tags, yardsale, QC)
• Restocking sellable product with precision and urgency
• Communicating clearly with the Customer Experience Lead and Fulfillment Management regarding return trends, issues, or discrepancies
• Identifying recurring product, sizing, or quality patterns within returns and proactively surfacing insights
• Contributing ideas to improve returns workflows, organization, and cross-team communication

Additional responsibilities include:

• Efficiently packing and shipping orders
• Accurately pulling product for orders and transfers
• Receiving, counting, and folding product
• Performing cycle counts and supporting inventory accuracy initiatives
• Maintaining an organized and disciplined workspace
• Assisting with special fulfillment tasks such as processing “assign to store” orders and orders with hems

Qualified candidates should:

• Be comfortable with technology, including communicating via Slack and navigating systems like Shopify
• Previous experience with Shopify, freight, or return portals is a plus
• Take ownership and pride in process and presentation
• Be highly detail-oriented and process-minded
• Demonstrate strong organization and follow-through
• Be a hardworking team player who works well in a fast-paced environment
• Be comfortable standing for extended periods of time
• Be able to lift 50lb boxes

Compensation is $20-23 hourly, commensurate with experience. Working Black Friday is a prerequesite for the position.
