Revenue Assistant

About the role

We are seeking a Revenue Assistant to join the team at Iconic Marjorie Hotel, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel, located in Bayan Lepas, Penang. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in supporting our revenue management operations. As a Revenue Assistant, you will be instrumental in optimizing our pricing strategies, managing reservations data, and contributing to the financial success of our hotel. This role is essential to ensuring our revenue operations run smoothly and efficiently, directly impacting the hotel's profitability and market competitiveness.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in monitoring and analyzing room rates, occupancy levels, and market trends to support revenue optimization strategies
• Process and maintain accurate reservation data, ensuring all booking information is correctly entered into the property management system
• Prepare and compile revenue reports, performance metrics, and occupancy analysis for management review
• Support the Revenue Manager in implementing pricing strategies and promotional campaigns across various distribution channels
• Liaise with front desk, housekeeping, and sales teams to ensure alignment on revenue goals and booking priorities
• Monitor competitor rates and market positioning to provide insights for revenue decision-making
• Assist with forecasting room revenue and occupancy projections based on historical data and market conditions
• Manage and update revenue management systems and databases to maintain data integrity
• Support the coordination of group bookings and special events to maximize revenue opportunities
• Respond to revenue-related inquiries and provide administrative support to the revenue team

What we're looking for

• High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality or business diploma is preferred
• 1-2 years of experience in a hotel, revenue management, or office administration role
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with property management systems (PMS) or revenue management software
• Excellent numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
• Knowledge of hotel operations and revenue management principles is advantageous
• Proficiency in English, both written and verbal; additional languages are a plus
• Proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and develop within the hospitality industry
• Reliable, professional, and customer-service oriented approach
