Wage: Base Start $17.5

Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

SUMMARY: Primary responsibilities are to operate and maintain label rewinding equipment. Safety, quality and production standards need to be met. Operators must maintain accurate processing of label products, handling different sizes of label rolls / cores and ensuring proper alignment of running product.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operate label rewinding equipment and machinery according to standard operating procedures.

• Set up and configure label rewinding machines to match specific job requirements.

• Load label rolls onto rewind equipment, ensuring proper alignment and tension is set.

• Monitor the label rewinding process to ensure quality standards are being met.

• Inspect labels for quality, defects, print errors, or inconsistencies.

• Perform regular quality checks throughout the shift.

• Make adjustments to maintain the optimal performance of the equipment.

SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Troubleshoot and resolve minor equipment issues and perform basic maintenance tasks.
• Maintain weekly PM program as assigned by Rewind supervisor.
• Maintain communication with fellow co-workers & Packer to ensure efficient production.
• Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
• Comply with company policies and procedures, including maintaining cleanliness and organization in the work area.

COMPETENCIES:

• Strong attention to detail and ability to spot defects or inconsistencies in labels.
• Basic mechanical understanding and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy label rolls when required.

Work Environment

This position frequently requires the employee to be out on the manufacturing floor, including standing, twisting, and walking.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds when assisting in the warehouse. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position, and the days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, First Shift (5:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m) or Second Shift (1:00 pm to 9:00 pm). Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Required Education and Experience

• High school diploma or GED

• 0-2 years of production experience.
