RF Electronics Engineer

Our client is an established engineering company in the Cambridge area that solves hard problems in RF, sensing and communications. It's customers span defence, security, healthcare, IoT and automotive.

The role

You'll design, build and test new RF systems and products, taking ideas from concept through to verified hardware. You'll work in a well-equipped lab with spectrum and network analysers and anechoic chambers, alongside experienced subject-matter experts. You'll also explain complex technical matters clearly to non-technical customers.

What you'll bring

• A good MEng in electronic engineering or a similar discipline
• 3+ years' post-graduate experience designing RF circuits, for example for radios or radars
• A track record of taking products or modules from concept to successful design verification
• Strong microwave, RF and analogue design and simulation skills, including RF amplifier, filter and frequency synthesiser design
• Experience of open architecture standards such as OpenCPI, STICS or SOSA

Nice to have: radio or radar systems knowledge, team leadership or line management, digital circuit design, mm-wave design.
