Job Requirements

At Quest Global, it’s not just what we do but how and why we do it that makes us different. With over 25 years as an engineering services provider, we believe in the power of doing things differently to make the impossible possible. Our people are driven by the desire to make the world a better place—to make a positive difference that contributes to a brighter future. We bring together technologies and industries, alongside the contributions of diverse individuals who are empowered by an intentional workplace culture, to solve problems better and faster.

Key Responsibilities

  • RF Designer- Lead

As an RF designer, you will be designing and developing the RF hardware modules for the RF Coils sub system of MR products, for hospital and outpatient radiology facilities. Together with other electronic hardware designers (RF, analog, digital and mixed signal), mechanical engineers, system engineering, manufacturing, and service engineers you will take products from concept through design into production to meet our customer’s needs. If you're passionate about healthcare innovation and cutting-edge technology, this is your chance to make a meaningful impact.

Your role:

  • You will be responsible for the design (models, schematics, and layout), realization, integration, and verification of analog and RF components of the MRI systems.
  • Contribute to the electronic design and development of analog circuits including RF circuits, PCB schematics, layout plans, wiring drawings, and assembling.
  • Assemble, configure, repair, and connect electronic systems and devices.
  • Debug and characterize complex electronic circuits using standard test and measurement equipment (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers).
  • The present result, root cause analysis to a broader audience and drive for best possible performance of RF Front End.
  • Support on various technical aspects of regulatory compliance.
  • Participation in the activity of verification and validation for the design process
  • Actively participate in cost saving opportunities, design maintenance and solving end-of-life issues.
  • Document development efforts for subsystem component and module, including requirements, specifications, design plans, reviews, test procedures and test reports.
  • Coordinate, support, and execute product tests to provide a traceable verification of the product.

We are known for our extraordinary people who make the impossible possible every day. Questians are driven by hunger, humility, and aspiration. We believe that our company culture is the key to our ability to make a true difference in every industry we reach. Our teams regularly invest time and dedicated effort into internal culture work, ensuring that all voices are heard.

We wholeheartedly believe in the diversity of thought that comes with fostering a culture rooted in respect, where everyone belongs, is valued, and feels inspired to share their ideas. We know embracing our unique differences makes us better, and that solving the worlds hardest engineering problems requires diverse ideas, perspectives, and backgrounds. We shine the brightest when we tap into the many dimensions that thrive across over 21,000 difference-makers in our workplace.

Work Experience

  • You hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical or electronics engineering specialised in RF Circuit design.
  • 8-12 years of experience in RF hardware development, preferably in a (safety) regulated industry such as medical devices, gas appliances and aviation equipment.
  • Solid understanding of RF concepts such as impedance matching, impedance transformation, distributed systems, passive RLC and resonant circuits, noise, linearity, bandwidth, and stability from tens of kHz to a few Mhz.
  • Familiar with lab instruments including Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, Signal Generators, RF Probe Stations, Noise Figure Analyzers
  • Strong lab skills in data collection & analysis, lab debugging & tuning, and product troubleshooting
  • Familiarity with various component blocks inside the RF transceiver lines, including coils, tuning and matching circuits, LNA, upconverters/downconverters, baseband filters, driver amplifiers/power amplifiers, linear RF switches, attenuators, low noise regulators, amplifiers, transimpedance amplifier, and biasing circuits.
  • A self-starter and team player with a strong desire to learn on the job. Strong desire and commitment to take product from concept to volume production
  • You have outstanding communication skills, are highly motivated and a good team player.

Field / Customer Complaint Investigations

  • Investigate customer-reported field complaints (CQs) on DAS/receiver hardware, log-based root-cause analysis, fault isolation, and Defect Review Board-ready write-ups.
  • Recent work includes a multi-site RF-spurious-signal investigation and several receiver-fault complaints on installed systems.

2. PFEI Hardware Design & Documentation

  • Hardware design and documentation work on the RXE4 receiver module and TFINT master board (PFEI rack: TFINT, QDD, TRSW).
  • Contributing to the redesign of a new TFINT-integrated receiver sub-system: architecture documentation, planning, and design-decision analysis, supported by lab measurement and simulation.
  • Recently assigned the TRSW transmit/receive switch board; work starting.
  • Documented a buffer/level-shifter reliability issue affecting TRSW and QDD boards.

3. Supplier Engineering & Test Documentation

  • Qualified alternative components across four PFEI boards in response to a Nexperia supply disruption (test-plan definition and execution).
  • Investigated and dispositioned supplier change requests for material obsolescence and a contract manufacturer's site relocation; resolved a traceability/labeling gap.
  • Maintained test documentation for a coil-interface production tester and supported a fix on a supplier-built test system.

Tools & Methods: AWR/LTspice/scikit-rf simulation, Python/MATLAB measurement analysis, Windchill/ClearQuest change and complaint processes.
