What they need
Overview We are seeking an experienced RF Software Engineer to support the design, development, implementation, and optimization of advanced Radio Frequency (RF) and Digital Signal Processing (DSP) software solutions for mission-critical government systems.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in C++, Python, Linux, and DSP algorithm development, with experience developing high-performance software for RF signal processing, signal analysis, and communications applications. This role involves developing and enhancing software algorithms, integrating existing technologies, and collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver innovative solutions supporting complex government mission requirements.
Eligible candidates may receive a sign-on bonus of up to $10,000, making this an exceptional opportunity to join a mission-critical team supporting national security initiatives. #Triaplex #VTG What will you do?
- Design, develop, implement, and optimize RF and Digital Signal Processing (DSP) algorithms for advanced signal processing applications.
- Develop high-performance software solutions supporting RF signal detection, analysis, processing, and exploitation.
- Design and implement algorithms focused on high-throughput signal processing, low signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), higher-order modulation, and adaptive modulation techniques.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance software applications using C++, Python, and Linux-based development environments.
- Analyze RF signal characteristics and develop software algorithms to improve signal processing performance and efficiency.
- Modify and enhance existing software and firmware to support evolving technical and operational requirements.
- Integrate and adapt Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) and Government Off-the-Shelf (GOTS) technologies to meet specialized government requirements.
- Develop, test, debug, and validate RF signal processing software to ensure accuracy, reliability, and performance.
- Optimize software algorithms for computational efficiency, high-throughput processing, and system performance.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation covering software architecture, signal processing models, algorithms, and implementation methodologies.
- Clearly communicate complex RF and DSP algorithms to engineering teams to support integration, reuse, and further development.
- Collaborate with RF engineers, software developers, systems engineers, and other technical stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Participate in technical design reviews, software testing, troubleshooting, and system integration activities.
Do you have what it takes?
- US Citizen with TS/SCI with Poly required
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline from an accredited college or university.
- Four (4) years of experience developing DSP algorithms on projects utilizing similar software development processes.
- Four (4) years of software development experience using C++, Linux, Python, or similar development technologies.
- Demonstrated experience working in Linux-based development environments.
- Formal training or demonstrated proficiency in C++ programming within Linux environments.
- Experience designing, developing, and implementing DSP algorithms for signal processing applications.
- Understanding of RF signal processing principles, including low signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), higher-order modulation, and adaptive modulation.
- Experience developing, modifying, testing, and troubleshooting software applications and algorithms.
- Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts, document algorithm designs, and collaborate effectively with engineering teams.
