Purpose of the Job

Shine Micro, Inc. is seeking an additional RF Technician to work in a fast-paced team environment at our Port Ludlow office. The RF Technician will perform a variety of tasks including; Test, troubleshoot and repair of RF receivers/transceivers, GPS receivers, VHF electronic equipment and DC/DC converters at the PCB and final assembly level. Experience using RF signal generators, spectrum analyzers, digital storage oscilloscopes, and test techniques related to RF electronic circuits is highly desirable. Primary responsibilities are the testing of PCB assemblies, sub-assemblies and final product including calibration and burn-in. Additional responsibilities include troubleshooting and repair of RF, analog and digital circuit boards, customer RGA repair and general equipment maintenance. Experience working under ISO9001 and AS9100 or similar working practices and procedures is an added bonus.

Essential Duties

• Test, troubleshoot and repair RF, analog and digital circuits
• Prepare written reports, process RGA and repair paperwork
• Ensure on-going adherence to established ISO 9001 quality and workmanship standards
• Ensure on time repair of customer products as scheduled
• Soldering SMD and through hole to IPC-A-610 or JSTD-001
• Utilize appropriate bill of material and repair procedures
• Monitor and maintain condition of test equipment and test fixtures
• May assist in the training of new staff or cross-train current staff to support
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret schematics and understand circuit theory
• Ability to learn new processes quickly
• Basic computer skills required including MS Word and Excel
• Good written and verbal communication skills, positive attitude and motivation to learn new processes.
• Detail oriented, ability to handle multiple tasks, good time management skills, team player

Optional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• LEAN Manufacturing
• GPIB RF test equipment
• JTAG programing
• Python programming a plus

Education and Experience

• Two-year degree in electronics or equivalent vocational technical certification
• One to two years soldering experience or more required
• or two years of job related experience in similar position
• US Citizenship required
