Role Description

The Rig Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Turkey. Position is responsible for overseeing daily rig operations to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant drilling and completion activities. This position manages rig crews, coordinates with drilling and petroleum engineers, and ensures that operating procedures, safety standards, and regulatory requirements are consistently met.

Day-to-day tasks include scheduling and supervising work activities, monitoring well performance, troubleshooting operational issues, and communicating project status to internal teams and clients. The Rig Manager also collaborates on planning and executing drilling and completion programs, manages equipment and materials on location, and promotes a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong supervisory skills, including team leadership, crew management, and performance oversight.
• Candidates should possess hands-on experience in drilling operations, with knowledge of drilling practices and basic drilling engineering concepts.
• Candidates should possess expertise in well completion activities, including coordination of completion programs and optimization of well performance.
• Candidates should possess a solid foundation in petroleum engineering principles relevant to drilling, completion, and production optimization.
• Relevant experience working on land-based rigs or similar field operations in the oil and gas industry.
• Strong commitment to safety, incident prevention, and adherence to environmental and regulatory standards.
• Effective communication skills in English; problem-solving skills required, with the ability to make sound decisions under field conditions.
• Work experience in an international and diverse cultural environment; Drillmec HH 300 Rig experience preferred
• Required: 5-10 years verifiable experience as a Rig Manager
