BUILT FOR BIG WORK

Come make something happen in the real world.

It doesn’t move itself.

Some things are easy to move. Omega Morgan generally gets called for the other things. We’re looking for Riggers who want to learn, think carefully, work safely, and be part of a crew that moves and installs machinery and equipment where precision matters. You’ll work with real equipment, real weight, and real consequences. And when the move is finished, you’ll know exactly what your crew accomplished.

About Omega Morgan

Omega Morgan helps industry move. Since 1991, we’ve grown into a 1,000+ employee industrial-services company with locations across the U.S. and Canada. Our teams provide specialized transportation, heavy rigging, machinery moving, crane, millwright, logistics, engineering, project management, and related technical services.

Riggers are at the physical center of much of that work.

What You’ll Own

• Rigging and securing loads for movement.
• Moving, installing, and dismantling equipment.
• Aligning, leveling, and anchoring machinery.
• Attaching loads to rigging using appropriate hand and power tools.
• Working with pulleys, blocks, chain falls, hoists, pulling gear, and related rigging equipment.
• Helping control the movement of heavy equipment through narrow or difficult spaces.
• Learning correct equipment-placement and tie-down procedures.
• Signaling or verbally directing workers involved in hoisting and moving loads.
• Dismantling and storing rigging equipment after use.
• Operating forklifts and other equipment when trained and qualified.
• Completing required training and safety certifications.
• Working closely with Foremen and experienced crews to continue developing machinery-moving skills.
• Using appropriate PPE and following jobsite safety requirements.
• Working onsite at customer locations.

Here’s What’s Required

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Understanding of basic rigging practices.
• Interest in transportation and machinery moving.
• Ability to understand and apply concepts involving weight, balance, and measurement.
• Willingness to complete required safety and rigging training.
• Ability to work collaboratively with Foremen and field crews.
• Ability to work safely around heavy equipment and suspended or moving loads.
• Ability to work at customer locations and in industrial environments.

You’ll Probably Thrive Here If

You like work that has a visible result.

You pay attention because details matter.

You don’t mind learning from people who know more than you do.

You trust the crew and want them to be able to trust you.

Big, complicated things make you think, “How are we going to move that?” rather than “That can’t be moved.”

Plain and Simple

This is physical, safety-sensitive work.

It can mean customer sites, industrial environments, heavy equipment, awkward conditions, travel, schedule changes, and long days.

It also means getting to do work most people will never get close to.
