Rigger

Coded Contracting is looking for a motivated and experienced Rigger to join our skilled and driven team.

Coded Contracting specialises in structural fabrication, coded welding, pipework and project installation services throughout Adelaide and beyond.

We’re looking for a reliable and experienced Rigger with an all-rounder attitude. You’ll be someone who takes ownership of your work, works well with others and is just as willing to lend a hand with general duties as you are to carry out rigging activities.

Ideally, you will have:

• A current Intermediate Rigging (RI) and/or Advanced Rigging (RA) High Risk Work Licence
• Proven rigging and lifting experience
• Strong knowledge of safe working limits and lifting practices
• Experience working with cranes, lifting equipment, structural steel and/or pipework
• The ability to interpret drawings, lift plans and project documentation
• A practical, hands-on approach and willingness to undertake ad hoc TA duties
• The flexibility to move between different tasks depending on project requirements
• Strong attention to detail and a genuine commitment to safety
• Good communication and problem-solving skills
• A positive attitude and a strong team mentality
• A current driver’s licence

A mechanical trade background and previous experience within the energy, industrial or construction sectors will be highly regarded.

What you’ll be doing

• Undertaking intermediate and advanced rigging, lifting, relocation and installation activities
• Planning and executing lifts, including working with lift plans and risk assessments
• Selecting and inspecting appropriate lifting gear, slings and equipment
• Working closely with Supervisors, Project Managers, Dogmen and other trades to deliver safe and efficient lifts
• Conducting pre-start checks and inspections of rigging and lifting equipment
• Interpreting lift plans, drawings, work packs and project specifications
• Assisting with the installation and positioning of structural steel, pipework and equipment
• Providing hands-on Trade Assistant support to our tradespeople when required
• Assisting with general workshop, site and project duties as needed
• Maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality and getting the job done efficiently
• Being willing to pitch in and help the wider team wherever required
