Rigger Gang Leader

Lead and supervise a team of riggers during lifting, hoisting, and material handling operations. Plan and allocate daily rigging activities in coordination with the Site Supervisor and Lifting Supervisor. Ensure all lifting operations are performed in accordance with approved lifting plans and risk assessments. Inspect lifting equipment, rigging gear, slings, shackles, hooks, spreader beams, and other accessories before use. Verify that all lifting equipment is certified, color-coded (where applicable), and fit for service. Coordinate with crane operators, banksmen/signalers, supervisors, and other trades to ensure safe lifting operations. Ensure proper selection of rigging methods and lifting accessories based on load weight, center of gravity, and lifting configuration. Conduct toolbox talks and pre-lift safety briefings for the rigging crew. Monitor compliance with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies, safe work procedures, and permit-to-work requirements.
