Payroll Specialist

The Payroll Specialist is responsible for accurately processing employee payroll, maintaining payroll records, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and company policies. This role works closely with HR to resolve payroll discrepancies, process deductions, maintain employee data, and ensure timely payroll distribution. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and committed to providing excellent customer service to employees regarding payroll-related questions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process bi-weekly payroll accurately and on time
• Understand California State laws
• Payroll processing for exempt, per diem, part time, on-call
• Maintain employee payroll records and data
• Review timesheets and resolve discrepancies
• Ensure compliance with payroll laws and company policies
• Respond to employee payroll inquiries
• Assist with payroll reporting, audits, and reconciliations

Qualifications:

• Previous payroll processing experience preferred
• Healthcare payroll
• Knowledge of payroll systems and timekeeping software
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
• Experience with Rippling is preferred
• 2 years of direct payroll processing without a 3rd party

Education

BA degree preferred , High School Education required

Pay: $34.00 per hour
