RISC-V Microcontroller Design Engineer

We are currently supporting the hiring process for a leading semiconductor company developing advanced embedded processing and microcontroller technologies for next-generation computing and connected devices.

Our client is seeking Microcontroller Sub-System Design Engineers to join a collaborative engineering team focused on the development of high-performance microcontroller and CPU subsystem solutions. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge processor architectures and contribute across the RTL design and development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design and development of microcontroller subsystem components
• Develop and maintain RTL designs using SystemVerilog
• Support architecture and micro-architecture implementation activities
• Work within RTL simulation environments to validate functionality and debug issues
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including verification, architecture, and software teams
• Develop scripts and automation flows to improve engineering efficiency
• Analyze and resolve design-related challenges throughout development

Required Skills & Experience

• Proficiency in SystemVerilog, C, and C++
• Experience with scripting languages such as Python or Perl
• Understanding of CPU architecture and micro-architecture concepts
• Experience working in RTL simulation environments
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and contribute innovative ideas in a collaborative environment

Qualifications

• MS degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
• Open to candidates ranging from graduate level through experienced engineers (0–15 years)
