Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Risk Adjustment Medical Coder Team Leader to oversee and support a team of medical coders in a non-voice environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing coding expertise, coaching team members, monitoring performance, and ensuring adherence to quality and productivity standards.

This role is ideal for a Risk Adjustment Medical Coder with SME or people-management experience who can provide strong technical guidance while effectively supporting team performance and operational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and support a team of Risk Adjustment Medical Coders.
• Provide subject matter expertise and guidance on complex Risk Adjustment coding cases.
• Review coding work to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable coding guidelines.
• Monitor team productivity, quality, accuracy, and other key performance indicators.
• Conduct regular coaching and provide constructive feedback to team members.
• Identify performance gaps and implement appropriate coaching or improvement actions.
• Support quality audits and address coding-related findings.
• Resolve escalated coding issues and provide appropriate recommendations.
• Ensure the team consistently meets established productivity and quality targets.
• Assist in identifying process improvements to enhance coding accuracy and operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with Quality, Operations, Training, and other stakeholders as needed.
• Keep up to date with Risk Adjustment coding guidelines, industry standards, and relevant regulatory requirements.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities related to the role as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• At least 2–3 years of hands-on Risk Adjustment Medical Coding experience.
• At least 1 year of experience as an SME, Team Leader, Supervisor, or People Manager.
• Experience providing coding guidance, coaching, or quality support to other coders.
• Active PHRN license.
• Active CPC certification, preferably with Risk Adjustment coding experience.
• Strong understanding of Risk Adjustment coding principles and medical coding guidelines.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and coaching skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a non-voice production environment.
• Willingness to work on a shifting schedule.
• Willingness to work under a temporary WFH arrangement and report to the assigned site as required.

Required Certifications / Credentials

• Active PHRN License
• Active CPC Certification – Risk Adjustment Coder

Compensation

PHP 50,000 package

The salary package is fixed and non-negotiable.
