Risk & Control Analyst

About the role

The successful candidate will support the team in delivering world-class standards in reporting, financial planning and finance processes. The role involves monitoring and analyzing operational risk metrics, partnering with stakeholders to drive remediation efforts, and supporting risk governance activities across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor, analyze, and present operational risk metrics to identify risk hotspots across business units, trading desks, and regional locations.
• Partner with stakeholders across functions to drive remediation efforts, strengthen controls, and mitigate financial reporting risks.
• Support the planning, coordination, and execution of Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) activities.
• Facilitate operational risk governance forums and committee meetings, including preparation of materials and tracking of action items.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors on audit reviews, findings, and remediation progress.
• Drive compliance with Group policies, regulatory requirements, and financial reporting standards.
• Manage operational risk events by identifying issues, tracking remediation plans, and ensuring timely closure of action items.
• Promote a culture of strong governance, risk awareness, and control discipline across the department.
• Prepare management reports and presentations for senior stakeholders on operational risk and control-related matters.

About you

• Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Finance, Business, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in operational risk management, business management, finance control, audit, or a similar support function.
• Good understanding of risk management frameworks, internal controls, and governance processes.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively.
• Strong presentation and data storytelling skills, with the ability to synthesize information into meaningful management insights.
• Self-motivated, adaptable, and quick to learn, with a proactive approach to driving process improvements and change initiatives.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships across functions and seniority levels.
• Experience with data analytics and visualization tools will be an advantage.
