Job Objective

To support the implementation and strengthening of the company’s operational risk, emerging risk, information risk, reputation risk and internal control policies

To ensure that a consistent framework is in place to systematically identify, measure, mitigate, report, monitor and manage the most significant risks To support daily processes and activities that alert management about new issues and risks evolution

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with relevant internal stakeholders for the implementation of risk management framework and related standards
• Risk management framework across the organization
• Develop, monitor and provide reporting on risk appetite statement and limits for: Operational risk (P&C, L&S, Health & Investment)
• Facilitate the implementation of the AXA Group Internal Control framework
• Maintain oversight over the implementation of the internal control project
• Provide AXA Mansard’s managers and management with the relevant Internal Control methodological support.
• Ensure key internal controls are defined, implemented, documented, assessed and monitored in front of material risks
• Ensure internal control deliverables are consistent within AXA Mansard’s and at the required level of quality.
• Deliver adequate and timely reporting on Internal Control framework and control deficiencies in line with AXA requirements to ensure appropriate escalation and adequate action plan.
• Ensure appropriate level of communication is maintained on Internal Control matters to support the framework and ensure appropriate ownership and accountabilities from management and managers. Develop adequate training material on the internal control objectives, approach and methodology.

• Create a fluid relationship with local risk correspondents (1st line of defense and entities risks managers) to receive the alerts of new risks, controls failing, activity change and new projects
• Increase partnership with business units by regular participation in committees and projects
• Coordination with other risk-related functions in the 2nd line of defense: Compliance, Legal, Tax, Data Privacy, Information Security, Business Continuity, etc.

• Document and/or ensure review of internal control documentation/policy is approved by AXA Mansard’s management and disseminated to all relevant stakeholders.
• Ensure consistency of AXA Mansard’s Internal Control policy with Group requirements.
• Ensure Internal Control reports are maintained and shared with management
• Report to senior management, external and internal auditors
• Participate in Risk Committees or equivalent Committees Conduct Regular trainings to local correspondents and management to increase risk awareness.
• Maintain an active and shared awareness of internal control best practices and regulatory developments
• Support the implementation of the AXA Group Operational Risk framework
