Risk & Operation Manager

About the role

This role involves establishing and managing the company's risk framework, ensuring a unified system is applied across all strategies. You will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and monitoring various risk categories including Exposure Limits, Leverage, Liquidity, Concentration, Drawdown, Counterparty Risk, Exchange Risk, Custodian Risk, Stablecoin risk, Collateral, and Liquidation Scenarios, as well as other crypto-related risks. You will also establish risk reporting hierarchies and conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a comprehensive risk framework applicable to all company strategies
• Assess risks prior to investment and prepare risk reports before strategy implementation
• Monitor risks continuously using current data and identify emerging risk scenarios
• Oversee system security and manage anomalous events, including response coordination, incident reporting, and damage assessment
• Establish preventive measures to avoid recurrence of incidents
• Automate operational systems and manage connections with Wallets, Exchanges, and Custodians
• Handle asset transfers and settlements, partner onboarding, and identify operational bottlenecks
• Establish internal control systems

About you

• Extensive experience in the crypto industry with strong understanding of exchange mechanics including Perpetual Funding, Margin Engine, Liquidation, and ADL
• Understanding of asset storage differences between MPC and exchange deposits, and on-chain risks
• Strong comprehension of trading strategies, particularly Arbitrage including Cash-and-Carry, Funding Rate Arbitrage, and Cross Exchange Arbitrage
• Conservative mindset with emphasis on capital preservation over profit maximization
• Ability to maintain clear position even under pressure
• Meticulous attention to detail with strong written documentation and policy development skills
• Experience in Risk, Compliance, Operations, or Trading roles in financial institutions or crypto companies is highly valued
