Risk Assurance Advisor

About the Client

The Safe Step is partnering with a well established national services organisation seeking a Risk Assurance Advisor to support its next phase of health, safety and operational improvement.

This is a hands on role combining operational safety, risk and governance across a multi site environment. Working closely with leaders across the business, you will play a key role in driving compliance, continuous improvement and positive health and safety outcomes.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Partner with leaders to manage health and safety risks and improve performance
• Conduct audits, inspections, investigations and risk assessments
• Maintain and improve safety systems, policies and procedures
• Support injury management, workers compensation and return to work activities
• Coordinate consultation, reporting and governance requirements
• Drive accountability and embed a positive health and safety culture across sites

About You
You are a pragmatic health and safety professional who enjoys being visible in the business while also ensuring governance and compliance requirements are met. You can build trust with operational teams, confidently influence leaders and are comfortable working across a diverse stakeholder group.
 
You'll Bring

• Experience in a WHS Advisor, Safety Advisor or Specialist role
• Strong knowledge of Australian WHS legislation and risk management principles
• Experience in operational, industrial, automotive, manufacturing, logistics or similar environments
• Capability across audits, investigations and compliance activities
• Strong written communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• A proactive and solutions focused approach
