The Risk-Based Inspection (RBI) Engineer is responsible for conducting risk-based inspection assessments, evaluating asset integrity risks, and developing optimized inspection strategies for industrial assets. The role supports clients in maintaining the safety, reliability, and compliance of pressure equipment, piping systems, tanks, and related facilities through the application of RBI methodologies and industry best practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform Risk-Based Inspection (RBI) assessments in accordance with API RP 580 and API RP 581 methodologies.
• Evaluate Probability of Failure (PoF) and Consequence of Failure (CoF) for static equipment and piping systems.
• Identify degradation mechanisms and assess equipment condition based on inspection and operational data.
• Develop and optimize inspection plans, inspection intervals, and mitigation strategies based on risk analysis results.
• Review integrity data, inspection reports, corrosion assessments, and process information.
• Support asset integrity management programs and recommend actions to reduce operational risks.
• Prepare technical reports, risk matrices, presentations, and engineering documentation.
• Participate in multidisciplinary project teams and collaborate with inspection, corrosion, and integrity specialists.
• Provide technical support to clients regarding RBI implementation and asset integrity management.
• Ensure compliance with applicable industry standards, company procedures, and client requirements.
• Support business development activities through technical proposals and client consultations.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of RBI methodologies, tools, and processes.

What you will bring

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Corrosion Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 1 years of experience in Asset Integrity Management, Inspection Engineering, Corrosion Engineering, or Risk-Based Inspection.
• Knowledge of API RP 580, API RP 581, API 510, API 570, and API 653 standards.
• Experience with RBI software and integrity management systems is an advantage.
• API 580 certification is preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge of corrosion mechanisms, damage mechanisms, and asset integrity principles.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, inspection reports, and technical documentation.
• Proficiency in risk assessment methodologies and inspection planning.
• Strong technical report writing and presentation skills.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams.
• Good command of written and spoken English.
