Risk Consultant

About the role

The Risk Consultant is a dual-capability role combining hands-on technical engineering analysis with strategic maritime risk consultancy. The role requires strong technical proficiency, sound engineering judgement, and the ability to analyse and prepare consultancy reports as well as communicate with clients and stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct navigational risk studies, including Marine Risk Assessment (MRA) and Marine Traffic and Risk Analysis (MTRA), Shiphandling Simulation Study and related studies
• Provide feasibility studies and master planning input for marine projects
• Conduct and coordinate project activities
• Collect, compile, and organise project data
• Prepare progress, inception, interim, draft, and final reports across the project lifecycle, together with weekly and monthly status updates
• Produce technical deliverables
• Develop and present technical proposals, reports, and risk-based recommendations to clients in a clear and professional manner
• Facilitate Full Mission Ship Handling Simulation (FMSS) sessions, guiding participants through scenario execution and debrief
• Lead risk workshops, HAZID sessions, and maritime safety programmes with clients and stakeholders
• Serve as a trusted technical point of contact for clients throughout the project engagement

Qualifications & Requirements

• At least two (2) years experience in Marine, Shipping or Engineering sectors
• Bachelor Degree in Engineering or related field
• High proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point
• Project Management skills
