Risk Analyst - Fixed Income | Leading Hedge Fund | London

An exciting opportunity for a Risk Analyst to join a leading hedge fund in London, working closely with Portfolio Managers and traders across Rates, Emerging Markets and Commodities.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone with fixed income market risk experience at a top-tier investment bank or asset manager looking to move into a hedge fund environment. Emerging Markets experience is preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor portfolio risk, exposures and trading limits across multiple strategies.
• Analyse risk and P&L drivers, conducting stress testing and scenario analysis.
• Work closely with PMs, traders and senior stakeholders to challenge risk and support decision-making.
• Develop and enhance risk tools and monitoring infrastructure using Python.

Requirements:

• Market risk experience, ideally within Rates or Fixed Income.
• Strong understanding of VaR, stress testing and risk sensitivities.
• Strong Python programming skills.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills, with the confidence to engage directly with Portfolio Managers.

No Emerging Markets experience is required

• the priority is strong fixed income market risk expertise and a genuine interest in moving to the buy side within a hedge fund.
