Context & Domain
In the banking sector , We are looking for an Engineer to join the Finance & Risk Reporting domain within the Technology (IT) department, with a specific focus on Risk Reporting . The role is part of a Scrum team responsible for the development and maintenance of a portfolio of in-house applications, mainly developed in PL/SQL. These applications collect, transform, and aggregate data from multiple sources (accounting systems, operational data, etc.) and perform critical calculations used by the business.
Mission & Responsibilities As a Risk Reporting Engineer, you will:
• Design, implement, and deliver small to medium-sized features end-to-end, from analysis and design to development and testing, using existing frameworks and solution building blocks.
• Maintain and enhance existing systems within your domain.
• Work independently on features of limited complexity across different, context free system components, while collaborating closely with team members.
• Apply engineering standards, principles, and best practices, including performance, security, reusability, scalability, sustainability, and DevSecOps.
• Take into account run aspects, such as performance optimization, capacity estimation, infrastructure architecture, and monitoring.
• Identify infrastructure needs and specify availability monitoring and health checks.
• Update and maintain technical documentation.
• Participate in incident support and take part in on-duty/permanence rotations when required. • Proactively identify issues, fix bugs, and perform root cause analysis. Collaboration & Team Contribution • Actively support other team members and contribute to their success.
• Coach and mentor associates when needed.
• Take responsibility and actively promote teamwork and collaboration.
• Execute and enforce team processes, ensuring that their benefits and trade-offs are well understood.
• Work within strict boundaries of security, reliability, and data integrity, while continuously seeking improvements in development practices and system performance.
• Own small to medium features in parallel with peers, from design through implementation.
• Have a positive impact on the overall team dynamics and delivery.
